People ask me all the time why we heat the room. Because heat makes you work. In an 85–90°F room your heart rate climbs, you sweat, and every pose asks a little more of you. That's hot yoga in New Smyrna Beach at Kula, and it's why so many of our students are hooked.
It burns calories
Hot yoga burns calories. The heat raises your heart rate, so a flow class becomes real work for your whole body. Make it a regular practice, pair it with how you eat and move the rest of the week, and it can help you lose weight.
It gets you sweating
Your skin is your body's largest organ, and a heated room gets it working. You'll sweat more than you would in a regular class, and many people walk out feeling cleansed and reset. If that's what you're after, try Detox Flow. On Wednesday evenings I teach it at our New Smyrna Beach studio.
It loosens you up
Warm muscles move more easily. A lot of students find they ease into poses sooner and stay with their breath longer. And the heat asks for your full attention, so the to-do list stays outside.

Drink water before and after class, and bring a water bottle and a towel. If you're pregnant or have a heart condition, check with your doctor first.
